Sabrina specializes in Psychic type Pokémon, and as such makes her a prime candidate for using your strongest Bug, Ghost, and Dark type moves against her. In the ninth room you’ll find one last psychic to fight before Sabrina:įinally, take the top left teleport pad in the ninth area to reach the Gym Leader of Saffron City Gym, Sabrina: In area eight you’ll find another Ace Trainer to battle:Īfter taking out Ace Trainer Cameron, there’s only one pad that will take you to area nine, and that’s the one on the top right. Either of the two pads on the right will take you to area eight, or the top left pad will take you past area eight and straight to area nine. The one to the top right leads to area seven while the bottom right leads straight to area eight, so head through the top right pad into area seven and face Channeler Imari:Īfter defeating Channeler Imari, you have two options other that where you came. Here there are 3 teleport pads, including the one you just came through. In this fifth area will be an Ace Trainer to take on:Īfter defeating Amanda, head through the pad on the bottom right to move into area six. The bottom right pad takes you straight to the fifth area so take the one of the left pads if you wish to battle everyone:Īfter taking out the Channeler the only teleport pad that will lead you into the fifth area will be the one in the bottom right. If you take either of the two on the left you’ll be taken to a fourth area with a Channeler in it to fight. This will bring you to a third space with four teleportation pads. Defeating her earns the Rainbow Badge which allows traded Pokémon up to Level 50 to obey, as well as TM53, Mega Drain.After defeating the Psychic, take the teleportation pad in the top right of this second space. In the middle of the gym you will find the leader, Erika. This gym doesn't have a puzzle but has a winding maze with multiple paths which can lead you back to the entrance. Thankfully, your partner Pikachu or Eevee will suffice for this. To get into the Gym, you need to show that you have a cute Pokémon. The next gym is in Celadon City, in the south-west of the city, and has a special restriction before entering. Defeating him earns the Thunder Badge which allows traded Pokémon up to Level 40 to obey, as well as TM36, Thunderbolt. The first trash can is always next to one of the two coloured trash cans. This Gym has a puzzle where you need to press two consecutive buttons in trash cans, but if you press the wrong trash can after the first, it resets and you need to find it again. Once that has been obtained you can enter Vermilion Gym with no further requirements. The next gym is in Vermilion City and can only be accessed after you have learned the Chop Down Secret Technique from the captain of the S.S. Defeating her earns the Cascade Badge which allows traded Pokémon up to Level 30 to obey, as well as TM29, Scald. Like the previous Gym, there's no puzzle but you can skip various trainers to get directly to Misty. To get into the Gym, you need to show a Pokémon that is Level 15 or higher. The next gym is in Cerulean City and is focused on Water-type Pokémon. Defeating him earns the Boulder Badge which allows traded Pokémon up to Level 20 to obey, as well as TM01, Headbutt. The gym doesn't have a puzzle but you can navigate around the trainers to go straight to Brock if so wished. This gym requires you to have a Grass-type Pokémon or a Water-type Pokémon in your team as you enter to show that you can take the Gym on, but it is not required for battle.
